Resorts Casino Hotel to host several upcoming shows

(PRESS RELEASE) -- A legendary entertainment lineup is slated for The Superstar Theater at Resorts Casino Hotel with Super Trans AM playing live on Saturday, 4 March, Tina – Tribute to the Queen of Rock N’ Roll scheduled for Saturday, 25 March and The Spinners live on Friday, 21 April. The Starlight Room at Resorts’ will also host Phriends: The One with Murder (A Murder Mystery Event) on Saturday, 11 February.

A murder mystery event comes to Resorts Casino Hotel where friends and groups will try to crack the case. A key to solving the murder will require navigating through an app-based scavenger hunt, that can be downloaded ahead of time! This is not a dinner event, but cocktails will be available to enjoy.

Fans can get ready to Rock with classic singalongs, air guitar anthems, one-hit wonders and yacht rock favorites from the 70’s at this high-energy, super visual experience that reminisces on the greatest decade in music.

A can’t miss Tina Turner tribute concert featuring Cookie Watkins is slated for the Superstar Theater in early March. This show will bring the heat, as Watkins is considered the top Tina Turner tribute performer in the world. No stranger to Broadway, Cookie also performed in hit stage musicals like“Guys & Dolls,’“Sweet Charity” and“Hair” before touring with the original cast of “Beehive” and Marie Wilson. Cookie allows the audience to savor the saucy effects of Tina’s “Higher” before a seamless transition to “Better Be Good to Me” followed by “What’s Love Got To Do With It?.”

Motown royalty hits the Superstar Theater stage this spring, bringing all their big hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The Spinners represent soul music at its best, charting numerous hit songs like “I’ll Be Around,” “Could it be I’m Falling in Love,” “The Rubberband Man,” “Mighty Love,” “Working my way back to You” and so many more. The Spinners were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2017, and have 18 Platinum and Gold Albums, millions of record sales, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
