Red Hawk Casino extends temporary closure indefinitely8 April 2020(PRESS RELEASE) -- To help protect the health and safety of the team members, guests and community, Red Hawk Casino has extended their temporary closure indefinitely. The casino has worked exhaustively to ensure they are taking care of their team members to the best of their ability, while at the same time, preserving the financial viability of the business. As Red Hawk faces these unprecedented business challenges, they have regrettably made the difficult decision to lay off some of their team members effective 17 April 2020, as well as, furlough another portion of team members effective 4 May 2020. Furloughed team members will continue to receive their medical, dental and vision benefits, and all premiums will be paid by the casino. This public health crisis impacts team members company-wide, which included the need for a reduction in pay for salaried team members as well. While there are many uncertain days ahead, Red Hawk Casino, its management team and the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians are doing their utmost to keep the casino team intact for as long as possible. |
