Poker action heats up at California casino24 June 2011PALA, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Poker action will be firecracker hot in July at Pala Casino Resort and Spa with two special tournaments and cash giveaways that will provide opportunities for players to win extra cash during the month. The two special tournaments will be a Deep Stack at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 3, with a $10,000 guarantee and an Independence Day tournament at 11 a.m., Monday, July 4, with a $5,000 guarantee. The Deep Stack buy-in will be $120+$20 with a $10 bonus buy for an additional $2,000 in chips. The Independence Day buy-in will be $55+$15 with a $5 bonus buy. A grand total of $15,000 will be awarded in the “Hotter Than July Cash Giveaway” each Saturday in July. Cash drawings will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and players can win a share of $3,000 each Saturday. Players will win one entry into the drawings for every Ace High Flush during open play and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Friday in July, players can receive four additional entries with a Jacks Full or better hand. A Cash & Splash promotion will be held from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on consecutive Mondays, July 11, 18 and 25. Texas Hold’em hands with the first two Jacks full or better per hour will receive $25. That player’s table will have the next hand splashed for $25. Both hole cards must play for the hand to be eligible and each hand must go to the River to qualify. When two Cash & Splash hands have been claimed, the promotion will start again at the top of the next hour. Also from 8:45 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, one table will be randomly selected each half hour for a $50 “Morning Splash.” If the Poker Room has four, or more, live games in play, $100 will be added to the next pot. Back by popular demand, Racing for Cash will start at Midnight, Friday, July 1, with a $10,000 prize fund that players can win by accumulating LIVE PLAY hours in the poker room. For 30 hours of play, a player can cash out for $75; 50 hours wins $200, and 80 hours wins $499. Hours can be cashed at any time after a player has met any one of the three cash tiers. When accumulated hours are cashed out, the player’s hours return to zero. Racing for Cash will continue until the $10.000 prize pool is exhausted or until Midnight, July 31. Cash outs will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Players will be responsible for clocking in on live games and to know when they have reached specific cash-out tiers. There will be no 11 a.m. tournament play on weekdays after Monday, July 4, so LIVE PLAY can be expanded for Race for Cash. Pala Poker’s daily tournaments will be played at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 10, 17 and 24 and at 7 p.m. weekdays. Sunday buy-ins will be $35+$5 with a $5 bonus buy and $3,000 guarantee.
