Pala's daily Progressive High Hand Jackpots, "Aces Cracked," to continue in August

PALA, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Southern California poker players can win more cash in August at Pala Casino Resort and Spa when the Poker Room continues its new Pala High Hand Jackpots promotion and sponsors a $20,000 estimated prize pool River Card Tournament at Noon, Sunday, Aug. 12. A $500 All-In or Fold’em Free Roll will continue at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7, 14, 21 and two $50 Aces Cracked bonuses will be paid each hour from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Sunday. If no one hits, the Aces Cracked cash will roll over to the next hour. Cash drawings for $100 each will be held each Saturday, Aug. 4, 11, 18 and 25. From 3 a.m. to 5 a.m., 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., $100 will be awarded each half hour. Players can start qualifying for the drawings starting July 15. If no one claims the cash, the money rolls over to the next drawing.

In addition to live play, other special tournaments in August will include: Daily Morning $1,000 Guaranteed at 10 a.m. (a new start time), Monday through Friday; $2,000 Guaranteed at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, except Aug. 12 and 18, and at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, 10 and 24; and $2,500 Guaranteed at 7 p.m. each Thursday. A Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) tournament will be played at 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, and special satellite tournaments will be played at 7 p.m. each Monday and Wednesday, except. Aug. 22, to qualify for a River Card “War in the Valley” tournament that will be played at Noon, Sunday, September 30.

The Pala Progressive High Hand Jackpot will have a total of $10,000 and will be in play 24 hours daily starting at 12:01 a.m., Aug. 1. Each day, $25 will be added to these qualifying hands: Royal Flushes (one per suit), $250; Straight Flushes (one per suit), $150; and Four-of-a-Kind, $50.

The Noon, Sunday, Aug. 12 River Card Tournament entry fee will be $125+$25 and each player will start with $15,000 in chips. There will be an optional $10 staff bonus buy for an additional $5,000 in chips. Blinds will be 25 minutes and there will be an estimated $20,000 prize pool. Late entries will be allowed for three blind levels, but there will be no re-entries. Per tradition, the winner will have his or her name engraved on the River Card traveling trophy.

The Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) tournament will start at 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18. Entry will be $100+$25+$5. Players will start with $8,000 in chips and there will be a $5 staff bonus buy for an additional $2,000 in starting chips. Blinds will be 25 minutes and late entries will be allowed for three blind levels. But there will be no re-entries.

The Daily Morning $1,000 Guaranteed Tournaments will be played at 10 a.m., Monday through Friday. Entry will be $25+$5+$5.

The $2,000 Guaranteed Tournaments will be played at 10 a.m., Saturday and Sunday, except Aug. 12 and Aug. 18, and at 7 p.m. each Friday. Entry will be $35+$5+$5.

The $2,500 Guaranteed Tournaments will be played at 7 p.m. each Thursday. Entry will be $45+$15+$5. There will be one $20 re-buy for an additional $3,000 in chips during the first three levels. There will be one $40 add-on for an additional $6,000 in chips during the break after the third blind level. And there will be a $5 optional staff bonus buy for an additional $1,000 in chips.

All daily poker tournaments, excluding Thursday, will offer re-entries for three blind levels, will start with $2,000 in chips and will offer an optional $5 staff bonus buy for an additional $1,000 in chips.
