Palace Station celebrates grand opening of China Mama6 December 2024(PRESS RELEASE) -- Earlier today, Palace Station Hotel and Casino celebrated the grand opening of the newest China Mama location with an honorary ribbon cutting ceremony and traditional lion dance and eye dotting blessing. The event honored the beloved local restaurant's expansion into the iconic casino's dining portfolio with leadership from China Mama, Palace Station, Station Casinos and government officials presiding over the festivities. The ceremony began with welcome remarks from Lee Torres, Vice President and General Manager of Palace Station and Ivy Ma, China Mama Owner, and a Proclamation presentation by Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony. Shortly after, Frank Fertitta IV, Station Casinos VP of Operations, Lee Torres, Vice President and General Manager of Palace Station, Cris Fleisher, Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Palace Station, Ivy Ma, China Mama Owner, and Nick Lin, China Mama Owner participated in the ribbon cutting, marking a new chapter for this local favorite. Bringing the celebration to a close, guests were welcomed to witness the traditional lion dance and eye dotting blessing ceremony, bringing luck and good fortune to the new location. China Mama officially opens its doors to the public today beginning at 5 p.m. China Mama offers an authentic and elevated Chinese dining experience, presenting delicacies from Cantonese, Szechuan, and Dongbei cuisine under the expert guidance of Executive Chef Bing Chou. With 30 years of experience in Asian cuisine, Chef Chou brings a menu crafted with the finest, seasonally focused ingredients, ensuring that the authentic flavors shine through in each dish. Diners can savor signature dishes such as crispy beef, crispy pork with Mama's special sauce, sliced fish fillet with pickled mustard, dry pepper chicken, and mapo tofu. Additional highlights include Chef Chou's specials, like spring salted egg yolk prawn, pork joint stewed with rock sugar, braised pork belly with small abalone, and the Chef's Special Taro Duck. China Mama also offers a diverse array of appetizers, soups, and courses featuring beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck, fish, and shrimp, along with vegetarian options. Visitors can enjoy handmade pastries such as pot stickers, steamed juice pork buns, and various dumplings. Specialties like live seafood options and premium dishes, including braised dried abalone, braised sea cucumber, and young coconut stewed bird’s nest, elevate the dining experience for those seeking something extraordinary. China Mama is located on the northeast side of the Palace Station property. The restaurant will operate daily, opening its doors to guests at 11:00 a.m. |
