Pala previews January poker schedule

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Southern California poker players will have more opportunities to win extra cash at Pala Casino Spa and Resort in January when the Poker Room will host the Monster Stack No Limit Hold'em tournament at noon on 7 January and the Pala Championship No Limit Hold'em 26-29 January.

Pala Poker will continue to stream LIVE 2-3-5 No Limit Hold'em action from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Friday and Saturday on Facebook. Just visit the Pala Poker Facebook page.

The Poker Room also will continue its popular Thursday Deep Stack Turbo and Friday Night 2K tournaments along with its popular promotions.

Promotions that will continue include the Cash Prize Wheel, the Saturday $100 High Hand, the Sunday $100 High Hand, the $100 Hourly High Hand (all Texas Hold'em games on Tuesday and Thursday), the Thursday High Hand/Flush Marathon (no rollover), the Chase for the Dough and the Limit Flush Marathon.

The Monster Stack No Limit Hold'em tournament will start at noon on 7 January and will have an estimated $10,000 prize pool. The buy-in will be $150 + $25 and chips will be $25,000/$5,000 with a $15 optional staff buy. Bounties of $50 will be paid from the prize pool, levels will be 30 minutes and re-entries will be to three levels.

The schedule for the four-day, $30,000 estimated Pala Championship will include:
Day 1A, 6 p.m., Thursday, 26 January
Day 1B, 6 p.m., Friday, 27 January
Day 1C, Noon, Saturday, 27 January

The buy-in will be $130 with $10,000/$5,000 in chips and a $50 optional add-on/re- buy. Re-entry will be to six levels. Ten percent of each day's players will advance to Day 2 and receive $100. If a player qualifies twice, they receive $500 from the prize pool and must surrender their lowest stack. Day 2 begins at 1 p.m. on 18 December.

Remaining monthly tournaments include:
Thursday Deep Stack Turbo: 7:15 p.m.; the buy-in will be $45 + $10 with a $1,200 guarantee and a $10 optional staff buy. Chips will be $20,000/$5,000 and there will be $10 bounties. This tournament will not be played 26 January.

Friday Night 2K: 7:15 p.m.; the buy-in will be $40+$5 with a $2,000 guarantee. Chips will be $4,000/$2,000 with a $5 optional staff buy and a $20 add-on for $10,000 chips. Late and re-entries will be allowed to four levels with a full stack. This tournament will not be played 27 January.

Continuing promotions will be the $100 Hourly High Hand, which will be in play from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Monday and Wednesday for all Texas Hold'em games and the Cash Prize Wheel, which will be in play every day and will award up to $200 for any quads or higher; the Thursday High Hand and Flush Marathon, with no rollover, which will be in play from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and the Limit Flush Marathon from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Friday for 3-6-9 limit and above. The Chase for the Dough will be in play from Midnight, 31 December until midnight, 31 January, with a $10,000 prize pool. Forty hours of live play will earn $60; 60 hours will earn $200 and 80 hours will earn $400.
