Pala Poker Room holding tournaments in June

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Southern California poker players will have more opportunities to win extra cash at Pala Casino Resort and Spa in June, when the Poker Room will host a Friday Night 3K tournament on June 26, and its featured tournament of the month, the Iron Man IV on Saturday, June 27.

Pala Poker also will continue its Sunday, Thursday Deep Stack Turbo, Friday Night 2K and Saturday Night 2K tournaments. Popular promotions that will continue in June will include the High Hand, the Graveyard Hold’em High Hand, the Rolling Hourly High Hand, the Limit Flush Marathon and the Chase for the Dough.

The Friday Night 3K at 7:15 p.m., June 26, will have $50 + $10 + $10 buy-in and a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players will start with $8,000/$2,000 in chips. Levels will be 20 minutes and late/re-entries will be allowed for three levels with a full stack under Pala signature rules.

The Iron Man IV will be played at 11:15 a.m., Saturday, June 27, and will have a $200 + $30 +$20 buy-in and an estimated $20,000 prize pool. Players will start with $20,000/$5,000 in chips and levels will be 45 minutes.

Continuing regular tournaments will include:

Thursday Deep Stack Turbo: 7:15 p.m., June 4, 11. 18, 25; $45 + $10 + $10 buy-in with a $1,200 guarantee; $20,000/$5,000 in starting chips; $10 bounties.

Friday Night 2K: 7:15 p.m., June 5, 12, 19; $35 + $5 + $5 buy-in with a $2,000 guarantee. Players will start with $4,000/$2,000 in chips. Late and re-entries will be allowed for three levels with a full stack.

Saturday Night 2K: 7:15 p.m., June 6, 13, 20; $50 + $5 + $5 buy-in with a $2,000 guarantee. Players will start with $4,000/$2,000 in chips. Late and re-entries will be allowed for four levels with a full stack.

Sunday Tournaments: 11:15 a.m., June 14, 21, 28; $65 + $10 + $10 buy-in; $10,000 guaranteed prize pool; $7,000/$3,000 starting chips; 20-minute levels with late/re-entries to five levels with full stack. Players can earn additional tournament chips at the rate of $500 per hour from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those who play all four hours can earn double bonus chips, a total of $4,000.

June brings the continuation of the Graveyard Hold’em High Hand promotion, which will be in play from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. each Sunday, and 1 a.m. to 4 a.m., Mondays and Thursdays with winners receiving $50. The Rolling Hourly High Hand also will be offered from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., on Monday and Tuesday.

Additional popular promotions that will continue include the High Hand, which will be in play from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Hold’em will pay $100 and Omaha, $75. The Limit Flush Marathon also will continue from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday and Friday for 3-6-9 players and above, as will the ever popular Chase for the Dough from Midnight, June 1, until Midnight, June 30, with a $10,000 prize pool. Players win by accumulating live-play hours. Forty hours wins $60; 60 hours gets $200 and 80 hours, $400. When players cash out, hours return to zero. A new addition to Chase for Dough, the Refer a Friend program, also will continue. The player who refers a friend will earn Pala bonus bucks for every tier point the friend earns in live games.
