Pala Casino Spa and Resort announces River Card Quest victor28 June 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Carl Horton, a poker player from Rancho Cucamonga, CA, won $4,964 and the championship of the Pala River Card Quest for the Cup Mega poker tournament after an agreement to a three-way chop Sunday, June 26, at Pala Casino Spa and Resort. Horton, Tim Steeves of Escondido, CA, and Larry Rogers of Murrieta, CA, held the most chips after six days of poker action. They agreed to chop and played one more hand to determine the champ. Horton won and earned an additional $964. Steeves and Rogers won $4,000 each. A total of 139 players vied for the $27, 800 prize pool and 17 finalists cashed in the event that started play on Saturday, June 18. All 17 winners included: 1.
