Pala Casino releases May poker tournament16 April 2010PALA, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Pala's Deep Stack Classic III tournament will kick off the month's poker action at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 1, at Pala Casino Spa & Resort. In addition to a regular weekday schedule, the Pala Poker Room also will host $1,500 Free Roll Player Appreciation tournaments at 10:15 a.m. each Sunday in May and Mini Deep Stack tournaments starting at 10 a.m. each Saturday. Players can still qualify for the Deep Stack Classic III tournament in two events. Deep Stack Classic III Super Satellite and Mega Satellite qualifying tournaments will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 24, and at Noon, Friday, April 30, respectively. The Super Satellite tournament will have a $55 buy-in and a $15 entry fee. Each player will begin with $5,000 in chips and a $5 re-buy for an additional $5,000 in chips will be available. One out of every 10 players will win a seat in the Deep Stack Classic III. There will be 20-minute blinds. The Mega Satellite qualifier will have a $110 buy-in and a $15 entry fee. Players will start with $10,000 in chips and an optional $10 Staff Bonus Buy for an additional $1,000 in starting chips will be available. Blinds will be 30 minutes and one out every five players will win a seat in the Deep Stack Classic III. For players who do not qualify, the Deep Stack Classic III will have a $500 buy-in and a $35 entry fee. Players will start with $25,000 in chips and there will be a $15 optional Staff Bonus Buy for an additional $5,000 in starting chips. The tournament will have 30-minute blinds. Starting at 10:15 a.m., Sunday, May 2, the weekly Player Appreciation Free Roll Tournaments will offer a $1,500 prize pool and a $10 optional staff bonus buy for an additional $1,500 in starting chips. Players qualify by playing a minimum eight hours of Texas Hold'em during each preceding week. Those who play eight to 14 hours will receive $2,000 in starting chips; 15-19 hours, $3,000; 20-24, $4,000 plus $25 in cash; 25-29 hours, $5,000 plus $50, and 30 hours or more, $6,000 plus $100. Starting at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 8, the weekly Mini Deep Stack tournaments will have a $125 buy-in and a $25 entry fee. Players will start with $15,000 in chips and a $10 staff bonus buy will be available for an additional $2,000 in starting chips. There will be 30-minute blinds. Pala's regular daily tournaments will start at 11 a.m., Monday-Friday, and 7 p.m., Thursday and Friday. All 11 a.m. tournaments will have a $25 buy-in and a $5 entry fee, and each player will start with $3,000 in chips. There will be a $3 optional Staff Bonus Buy for an additional $1,000 in chips and there will be a $1,000 guarantee. The 7 p.m. tournaments on Thursday and Friday will have a $25 buy-in and a $5 entry fee. Players will start with $3,000 in chips and a $5 re-buy for an additional $500 in chips will be available and a $10 add-on for an additional $2,500 in chips. There will be a $1,000 guarantee. Add-ons will be allowed during the break between the third and fourth blind. Pala Casino Spa & Resort reserves the right to alter or cancel any poker tournament at its discretion. |
