Pala Casino poker schedule for October 2015

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Southern California poker players will have more opportunities to win extra cash at Pala Casino Spa and Resort when the Poker Room hosts the River Card Warm Up and “Quest for the Cup” tournaments October 30-31.

Pala Poker also will add a new promotion, the Limitfest Saturdays and Sundays, in October while continuing its popular Thursday Deep Stack Turbo and Friday Night 2K tournaments. Popular promotions that will continue will include the High Hand, the No Limit Rolling Hourly High Hand, the Limit Flush Marathon and the Chase for the Dough.

The River Card Warm-Up will be played at 7:15 p.m., Friday, October 30, and will offer a $10,000 estimated prize pool. The buy-in will be $100+$25 and there will be a $10 optional staff buy. Chips will be $8,000/$2,000 and levels will be 25 minutes. Five seats in the “Quest for the Cup” will be included in the prize pool.

The “Quest for the Cup” will go off at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 31, and will offer a $40,000 estimated pool. The buy-in will be $200+$30 and there will be a $10 optional staff buy. Chips will be $8,000/$5,000 and levels will be 30 minutes. The champion will have his/her name engraved on the River Card traveling trophy and will receive a smaller version of the trophy.

The new Limitfest Saturdays and Sundays will be in play starting at 9 a.m., October 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, 24-25 and 31. Any quads made holding a pocket pair will win $100 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $4-$8 Limit Hold’em and above. A free continental breakfast will be available for all live players from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Continuing regular tournaments::

Thursday Deep Stack Turbo: 7:15 p.m., October 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. The buy-in will be $45+$10 with a $1,200 guarantee and a $10 staff buy. Chips will $20,000/$5,000 and there will be $10 bounties, which will be added to the prize pool.

Friday Night 2K: 7:15 p.m., October 2, 9, 16 and 23; the buy-in will be $35+$5 with a $2,000 guarantee. Chips will be $4,000/$2,000. Late and re-entries will be allowed to three levels with a full stack.

Additional popular promotions that will continue include the High Hand, which will be in play from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Hold’em will pay $100 and Omaha, $75. The Limit Flush Marathon also will continue from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday and Friday for 3-6-9 players and above (with no carry over), as will the ever popular Chase for the Dough from Midnight, October 1, until Midnight, October 31, with a $10,000 prize pool. Players win by accumulating live-play hours. Forty hours wins $60; 60 hours gets $200 and 80 hours, $400. When players cash out, hours return to zero. The No Limit Rolling High Hand will be in play from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., Monday through Thursday and 1 a.m. to 8 a.m., Saturday and Sunday.
