Pala Casino poker schedule for January 2016

PALA, CA -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Southern California poker players will have more opportunities to win extra cash at Pala Casino Spa and Resort in January when the Pala Casino Spa and Resort Poker Room will play the $100,000 (est.) River Card Quest for the Cup Mega tournament from Thursday, January 28, to Sunday, January 31.

Pala Poker also will continue its popular Thursday Deep Stack Turbo and Friday Night 2K tournaments and ongoing popular promotions that include the Football Splash Pots, the High Hand, the No Limit High Hand, the Limit Splash Pot Thursdays, the No Limit Rolling Hourly High Hand, the Limit Flush Marathon and the Chase for the Dough.

The $100,000 (Est.) River Card Quest for the Cup Mega will start with four $10,000 (est.) warm-up tournaments at 7:15 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 9, 16 and 23.

The buy-in will be $125 and five seats in the Mega will be awarded to the top five finishers out of the prize pool.

Day 1A of the Mega will played at 2:15 p.m., Thursday, January 28; Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30. Twenty percent or level 15 of each day will advance to the Day 2 final, which will be played at 1:45 p.m., Sunday, January 31. The buy-in will be $235 with $13,000/$2,000 chips. There will be an optional, $15 staff bonus buy, re-entries to seven levels and 30-minute blinds.

Continuing regular tournaments:

Thursday Deep Stack Turbo: 7:15 p.m.; the buy-in will be $45+$10 with a $1,200 guarantee and a $10 staff buy. Chips will $20,000/$5,000 and there will be $10 bounties, which will be added to the prize pool.

Friday Night 2K: 7:15 p.m.; the buy-in will be $35+$5 with a $2,000 guarantee and a $5 optional staff buy. Chips will be $4,000/$2,000. Late and re-entries will be allowed to three levels with a full stack.

The Football Splash Pots will be paid Sunday, January 3. All live tables will be splashed with $25 for a touchdown; $10 for field goal and $50 for a safety in games that are televised in the poker room.

Pala Poker also will offer Limit Splash Pot Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Thursday. Pots will be splashed $25 every half hour on $4 and $8 Limit Hold’em and up.

Popular promotions that will continue include the High Hand, which will be in play from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Monday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each Wednesday (except January 27). Hold’em will pay $100. The Limit Flush Marathon also will continue from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday and Friday for 3-6-9 players and above (with no carry over), as will the ever popular Chase for the Dough™ from Midnight, January 1, until Midnight, January 31, with a $10,000 prize pool. Players win by accumulating live-play hours. Forty hours wins $60; 60 hours gets $200 and 80 hours, $400. When players cash out, hours return to zero. The No Limit Rolling High Hand will be in play from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m., every day except Friday. The No Limit High Hand will be in play from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Thursday for $100.
