Pala announces River Card Quest winner23 August 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Tony Yang, a poker player from Banning, CA, won $4,927 and the championship of the Pala River Card Quest for the Cup poker tournament after an agreement to a four-way safety chop Saturday, August 20, at Pala Casino Spa and Resort. Yang, Vincent Stanley of Corona, CA; Steve Potashnick of San Diego, CA, and George Mutashobya, San Diego, CA, held the most chips after two days of poker action. They agreed to the chop and whereby each was guaranteed at least $4,500 with the remaining $427 going to Yang, the chip leader. A total of 147 players vied for the $29,600 prize pool and 16 finalists cashed. All 16 winners included: 1. Tony Yang, Banning, CA, $4,927 and the River Card trophy 2.
