Oregon sports betting kicks off

27 August 2019

(PRESS RELEASE) -- At 8:20 a.m. this morning Ed ‘Too Tall’ Jones placed the first bet in Chinook Winds Casino Resort’s Sports Wagering lounge. Who did the former Dallas Cowboys Lineman bet on? “Ok, I’m going to put the big bucks on the Dallas Cowboys at 10-1 odds to win the Superbowl.” Jones then continued by motioning to his Super Bowl ring and stated, “This is my good luck Super Bowl ring and we need another one.” He then placed the historic first sports bet in Oregon at Chinook Winds Casino Resort.

Sports Wagering opened to the public at 9 a.m. Eager fans wearing a plethora of team logos walked up to place their bets on the first day. Regular operating hours are seven days a week from 8am to 11pm and will offer a wide range of both professional and collegiate sports. Once a bet is placed, guests can watch the game in the Sports Wagering lounge or in the Rogue River Steakhouse Lounge.

The new addition of sports wagering is a fun, interactive way to enjoy sports and gaming at the same time. Not only will guests be able to enjoy their favorite slot and table game, but now will have the option to enjoy their favorite sports team in an exciting environment.
