Chinook Winds Casino Resort shuts doors until 2 September26 August 2021Chinook Winds Casino Resort announced that it will be temporarily closed until 2 September, "in the face of COVID-19 and the Delta variant." All hotel reservations prior to 2 September will be automatically cancelled. The closure includes the casino, hotel and golf course operations. The casino, which is owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians of Oregon, originally hoped to reopen Thursday when it was announced it was closing for two weeks on 12 August. The following statement was posted on the casino's website and social media channels: Chinook Winds Casino Resort Closes until September 2, 2021 for Safety of Guests and Team Members In the interest of public health and safety, in the face of COVID-19 and the Delta variant, the Siletz Tribal Council and the Chinook Winds Senior Executive team announces the closure of Chinook Winds Casino, Hotel and Golf course operations effective 6pm Thursday, August 12, 2021, with a goal of reopening September 2, 2021. |
