NYRA hums on Aqueduct's future30 August 2013SARATOGA SPRINGS, New York -- The New York Racing Association continues to ponder the future of the Aqueduct Race track which now apparently extends to contemplating its closure, according to a Times-Union report. This would of course impact Resorts World Casino which cannot operate without being attached to a racetrack, the report said. One option would be to change state law so that the economically thriving Resorts World Casino could exist away from any required racetrack attachment, the Times-Union reported. Another option is to privatize Aqueduct, the report noted. |
