Nine players chop poker tournament prize pool of over $5,00013 May 2013PALA, Calif. (PRESS RELEASE) -- A nine-way chop determined the winners of Pala Casino Resort and Spa's 5K Nooner poker tournament on Sunday, May 5. The one-day, $5,125 prize pool tournament hosted 75 players and paid 10 places. The final table played down to nine and the chip leaders received the largest shares. The winners included: 1. Santos Rodriguez, Oceanside, CA, $701 1. Dean Chore, San Jacinto, CA, $700 2. Kathleen Colton, San Diego, CA, $525 2. Anonymous, $525 3. Scott Dazey, San Diego, CA, $504 3. Frank Hwang, Wildomar, CA, $504 3. Steve Alkema, Fallbrook, CA, $504 3. Manuel Cisneros, Whittier, CA, $504 3. Chris Williams, Fallbrook, CA, $504 10. Robbin Hamilton, Fallbrook, CA, $154 5K Nooner tournaments will be played each Sunday at 12 p.m. in May, but registration will remain open until 2 p.m. The entry will be $50 + $15 with a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players will start with $5,000 in chips and there will be an optional $5 staff bonus buy for an additional $2,000 in chips. There will be one, $25 re-buy offered in the first four levels for $3,000 in chips. There will be late and re-entries for four levels. Blinds will be 30 minutes for four levels and 20 minutes thereafter. During May, those who play live poker from 8 a.m. to noon on Sundays will receive $500 in bonus chips in the 5K Nooner tournaments for each hour played. |
