Newcastle Casino releases live entertainment schedule9 January 2018(PRESS RELEASE) -- Newcastle Casino is kicking off its 2018 live entertainment calendar with local favorites playing every weekend, now including multiple Friday nights. Bands play on the entertainment stage in the southeast building from 8 p.m. to midnight. The concerts are free and open to guests 18 years of age and older. Additional details about upcoming featured bands are below. RPM Band – Saturday, 6 January The RPM Band is a local favorite and class act. They play hits from the '80s and '90s and pop tunes from today. Ocean Duo – Friday, 12 January Drive – Saturday, 13 January Drive is a five piece band with male and female vocals that cover a wide range of music spanning a variety of sounds from the '60s to today's hits. Stars – Saturday, 20 January The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. Playing a mixture of dance music, they are constantly evolving to continually perform top dance hits. Their play list includes music from across the decades, spanning from The Beatles to Prince to Usher. Tandem – Friday, 26 January Playing a range of music from contemporary top 40 hits to timeless classics, Tandem combines technology, musicianship and production to create their unique sound and style, setting them apart from other two-piece bands. Laredo – Saturday, 27 January Laredo brings a newer, bolder sound with their fresh take on country music. As a country cover band, Laredo is influenced by an eclectic range of music. However, their sound is mostly influenced by musicians such as Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band and Jason Aldean. Conspiracy Rejects - Saturday, 3 February The Conspiracy Rejects keep rock alive with their enthusiastic performance covering classic rock favorites. Derek Harris Acoustic – Friday, 9 February Derek Harris Acoustic has been a local favorite for years, playing a wide range of acoustic ballads from Ray LaMontagne to more upbeat tunes of Bob Marley. 411 Band – Saturday, 10 February With dynamic vocalists and a wind and rhythm section, the 411 Band performs a high-energy R&B show. Wino Browne – Saturday, 17 February Wino Browne has been a part of the local live music scene since 2000.?Jess Cockerham is the front man, Daniel Finley is on bass and vocals, Darren Finley is lead guitar and vocals and Chris Aragon is on drums and vocals. Their versatile song list keeps Wino Browne in the elite group of truly great local entertainment. Eric Dunkin – Friday, 23 February Jason Young Band – Saturday, 24 February The Jason Young Band features a variety of musical talents including guitar, bass, piano, drums and fiddle. After sharing the stage with country artists like Blake Shelton and Charlie Daniels, The Jason Young Band now focuses on the Midwest music scene with their own country hits as well as covers of popular songs ranging from Elvis to Bruno Mars. Weekend All Stars – Saturday, 3 March From R&B hits to contemporary and classic pop songs, the Weekend All Stars covers a broad range of catchy favorites across the decades. Aaron Newman Duo – Friday, 9 March From Stoney Larue to Jakob Dylan of the Wallflowers, Aaron Newman has shared the stage with top talent from across the country. Performances often include well-known hits from Elton John to more modern hits of John Mayer. Stars – Saturday, 10 March The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. Playing a mixture of dance music, they are constantly evolving to continually perform top dance hits. Layken Urie – Saturday, 17 March Layken Urie is country music singer and songwriter out of Oklahoma City, singing original songs as well as covering top country favorites. John the Franklin – Friday, 23 March Playing timeless folk rock music, including some country hits, John the Franklin is a perfect band to enhance any event or relaxing night out. Brandi Reloaded – Saturday, 24 March Brandi Reloaded is a rock and pop cover band that brings together five talented people and delivers a power-packed show that will appeal to the senses, both musically and visually. The Mills Band – Saturday, 31 March A contemporary country and rock band from Edmond, the Mills Band brings together an eclectic group of talented musicians, providing a high energy performance and sincere, original songwriting with stellar vocals backed by impressive instrumentalists. |
