Newcastle Casino releases live entertainment schedule28 September 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Newcastle Casino recently announced its live entertainment calendar for the remainder of 2017, including live music acts for New Year's Eve. Bands will play on the entertainment stage in the southeast building from 8 p.m. to midnight. The below concerts are free and open to guests 18 years of age and older. Additional details about featured bands are below. Wino Browne – Saturday, 7 October Wino Browne has been a part of the local live music scene since 2000. Jess Cockerham is the front man, Daniel Finley is on bass and vocals, Darren Finley is lead guitar and vocals and Chris Aragon is on drums and vocals. Their versatile song list keeps Wino Browne in the elite group of truly great local entertainment. Stars – Saturday, 14 October The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. Playing a mixture of dance music, they are constantly evolving to continually perform top dance hits. Their play list includes music from across the decades, spanning from The Beatles to Prince to Usher. RPM Band – Saturday, 21 October The RPM Band is a local favorite and class act. They play hits from the '80s and '90s and pop tunes from today. Drive – Saturday, 28 October Drive is a five-piece band with male and female vocals which cover a wide range of music, spanning a variety of sounds from the '60s to today's hits. Conspiracy Rejects – Saturday, 4 November The Conspiracy Rejects keep rock alive with their enthusiastic performance covering classic rock favorites. Aaron Woods Band – Saturday, 11 November The Aaron Woods Band is one of the more musically diverse groups in the Texas-Oklahoma red dirt scene. Soon after inception, the band established itself as one of the more relentless touring groups in Oklahoma, playing more than 100 shows a year. In 2017, the band also released a new extended play record titled "Time with You." Midas 13 – Saturday, 18 November Midas 13 is a high-energy, five-piece band based in Oklahoma City. They cover tunes of all genres, from the '70s to current hits. Stars – Saturday, 25 November The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. Playing a mixture of dance music, they are constantly evolving to continually perform top dance hits. Their play list includes music from across the decades, spanning from The Beatles to Prince to Usher. Push Play – Saturday, 2 December More than a cover band, Push Play is a musical experience. The band offers a fantastic mix of professionalism and talent. Trading vocals and styles, they move from one genre to another, recreating hits of today and classics from decades past flawlessly. Electric Avenue – Saturday, 9 December Electric Avenue is a talented ensemble of veteran musicians joined together to create one of the hottest up-and-coming dance party bands in the Oklahoma City area. Electric Avenue delivers high energy with new and old school Top 40 hits including rock, R&B, disco, hip-hop and even a little country and Southern rock. Layken Urie – Saturday, 16 December Layken Urie is country music singer and songwriter out of Oklahoma City, singing original songs as well as covering top country favorites. Brandi Reloaded – Saturday, 30 December Brandi Reloaded is a rock and pop cover band that brings together five talented people and delivers a power-packed show that will appeal to your senses, both musically and visually.
