Newcastle Casino continues concert series2 August 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Newcastle Casino continues its Concerts at the Castle series with Elvis tribute artist Travis LeDoyt. The free outdoor concert is set for Tuesday, Aug. 16 in the casino's north parking lot. Gates open at 6 p.m. and LeDoyt will take the stage at 7 p.m. The performance is free and open to anyone 18 years old and older. Guests do not need a ticket to enter. In July, country musician Trace Adkins came to Newcastle and held a free concert for the community. Ryan Sykes, Newcastle Casino's general manager, said Adkins was a perfect fit to kick-off the Concerts at the Castle series. "The first Concerts at the Castle show was a huge success," Sykes said. "We had about 3,500 guests attend the concert. It's rare to see a big country artist like Trace Adkins put on a free concert. We were pleased with the turnout and look forward to hosting Travis LeDoyt." In addition to the concert, the casino is giving away one trip to Las Vegas and $500 spending money after the LeDoyt concert. Casino guests are eligible for the prize by playing with their Players Club Card beginning at 8 a.m. the day of the concert. The drawing will be held at 10 p.m. inside the casino and patrons must be present to win. Guests can also stay to watch local Elvis tribute band Mike Black and the Stingrays. The band will play from 9 p.m. to midnight inside the casino on the entertainment stage, located in the southeast building. The final Concerts at the Castle event, Exit 107 Live Family Music Festival, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2. Exit 107 Live is a family-friendly outdoor event that will feature rides, games, exotic animals and local bands. Guests attending Concerts at the Castle events are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Outside food and drink are prohibited. Security will check bags at the entrance gate.
