Newcastle Casino announces 2017 music lineup5 January 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Newcastle Casino has announced its live entertainment schedule for the first three months of 2017. Bands are scheduled to play on the entertainment stage in the southeast building from 8 p.m. to midnight from January through March. The concerts below are free and open to guests 18 years of age and older. For details about featured bands, see below. Stars – Saturday, 7 January The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. Playing a mixture of dance music, they are constantly evolving to continually perform top dance hits. Their play list includes music from across the decades, spanning from The Beatles to Prince to Usher. Laredo – Saturday, 14 January Laredo brings a newer, bolder sound with their fresh take on country music. As a country cover band, Laredo is influenced by an eclectic range of music. However, their sound is mostly influenced by musicians such as Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band and Jason Aldean. 100 Bones Band – Saturday, 21 January 100 Bones Band is a funky blend of blues, rock and reggae. Influences include an eclectic mix with a wide variety of sounds, such as The Beatles, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones and many others. Midas 13 – Saturday, 28 January Midas 13 is a high-energy, five-piece band based in Oklahoma City. They cover tunes of all genres, from the '70s to current hits. Stars – Saturday, 4 February The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. John Arnold Band – Saturday, 11 February With experience playing with country stars such as George Strait, Reba McEntire and The Bellamy Brothers, the John Arnold Band brings a wide mix of sounds, including country, swing, bluegrass, rock and jazz. Drive – Saturday, 18 February Drive is a five piece band with male and female vocals that cover a wide range of music spanning a variety of sounds from the '60s to today's hits. Brandi Reloaded – Saturday, 25 February Brandi Reloaded is a rock and pop cover band that brings together five talented people and delivers a power-packed show that will appeal to your senses, both musically and visually. Life of the Party – Saturday, 4 March With its high-energy blend of variety party music, Life of the Party has quickly become one of Oklahoma City's hottest party bands. Whether you have a taste for rock, pop, hip-hop or country, Life of the Party can do it all. Electric Avenue – Saturday, 11 March Electric Avenue is a talented ensemble of veteran musicians joined together to create one of the hottest up-and-coming dance party bands in the Oklahoma City area. Electric Avenue delivers high energy with new and old school Top 40 hits including rock, R&B, disco, hip-hop and even a little country and Southern rock. Drive – Friday, 17 March Drive is a five piece band with male and female vocals that cover a wide range of music spanning a variety of sounds from the '60s to today's hits. Jason Young Band – Saturday, 18 March The Jason Young Band features a variety of musical talents including guitar, bass, piano, drums and fiddle. After sharing the stage with numerous country artists like Blake Shelton and Charlie Daniels, The Jason Young Band now focuses on the Midwest music scene with their own country hits as well as covers of popular songs ranging from Elvis to Bruno Mars. RPM Band – Saturday, 25 March The RPM Band is a local favorite and class act. They play hits from the '80s and '90s and pop tunes from today. |
