MotorCity ready for opening28 November 2007ETROIT, Michigan -- As reported by the Detroit News: "Window washers dangling from harnesses polished the exterior of the new MotorCity Casino Hotel this morning, and workers rushed around inside installing cabinets, tweaking technology and otherwise preparing for its long-awaited grand opening on Wednesday. "As a work crew moved a heavy glass table into the lobby, the hotel's chief operating officer, Rhonda Cohen, topped it with a vase of fresh flowers and assured reporters gathered for a sneak preview that the 400-room luxury hotel will be ready to welcome its first guests, as promised, at 3 p.m. Wednesday. "She said the staff is working overtime to ensure that guests will enjoy a first-class experience at the hotel, which is the capstone of the casino's ongoing $300-million expansion..." |
