Moms will be special at Pala this Sunday7 May 2012PALA, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, will be a culinary delight for Mom and the whole family at Choices the Buffet, the Oak Room and Mama’s Cucina Italiana at Pala Casino Resort and Spa. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., in addition to its eight serving stations, Choices will expand its Mother’s Day menu to include Roasted Leg of Lamb, Steamed Alaskan King Crab, Chilled Snow Crab Clusters, Steamed Dungeness Crab, Asian Roasted Duck, Oysters on the Half Shell, Salmon Wellington, Charbroiled Bone-In Steaks and Herb-Crusted Tilapia. And don’t forget the Choices selection of over 80 desserts. A specialty brunch menu also will be served from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feasting can begin for $38 per person. Pala Privileges card members and one guest can enjoy Mother’s Day at Choices for $30.40 person; Gold level cardholders and one guest, $26.60 per person; Platinum, $19 and Elite members and one guest are free. Chef Luciano Cibelli will offer a Mother’s Day Gourmet Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $55 per person at Mama’s Cucina Italiana. Selections will include Fresh Juices, Breakfast Breads and Pastries including Banana Bread, Zucchini Bread, Danish and Donuts; Chilled Seafood including Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese and Capers; Smoked Trout; Shrimp Cocktail; Oysters and Clams on the Half Shell and King Crab Legs; a selection of fresh salads including Antipasto Salad; Micro Greens; Caesar Salad and Tomato and Mozzarella Salad; a selection of Pizza including Assorted Breakfast Pizza; Bruschetta; Focaccia Bread and Assorted Quiches; Waffles, Eggs Any Style with Smoked Bacon, Italian Sausage, Roasted Lemon Chicken and Filet Mignon, and the Chef’s Special Dessert Station. Reservations are suggested. Call 760-510-4541. The Oak Room, Pala’s popular steak house, will serve a Mother’s Day special menu from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for $59 per person. Diners will have a choice of two appetizers, Jumbo Shrimp and Alaskan Crab Claw Cocktail with Meyer Lemon Cocktail Sauce or Cognac Glazed Short Ribs with Horseradish Potato and Garlic Chips. A salad or soup selection will include Butter and Loll Rosa Lettuce Salad with Mizuni, Tomato, Aisne Peel and Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing or Roasted Corn and Crab Chowder. Dinner entrees will be a Surf and Turf with a 6-ounce Filet Mignon, pan seared Boston Diver Scallop with Caper Cream Sauce or Alaskan Halibut Thermidor grilled with Parmesan Cheese and crusted with Maine Lobster Sauce.
