Mohegan Sun Casino of the Wind expansion revealed26 August 2008CONNECTICUT -- As reported by the Boston Herald: "Already one of the largest casinos in the world, Mohegan Sun is about to get even bigger. "The Connecticut gambling resort will pull the wraps off the first phase of its $925 million Casino of the Wind expansion. "Friday's rollout comes as Mohegan and next-door rival Foxwoods engage in a heated duel for gamblers, with Foxwoods having already opened up a new MGM Grand addition this spring. "Mohegan's new, 64,000-square-foot Casino of the Wind will feature 650 slot machines, 28 table games and a 42-table poker room. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is set to open Sept. 29. "And to celebrate the grand opening, Mohegan has set aside the entire month of October for special events and promotions..." |
