Marina Bay Sands gets casino licence ahead of phase one opening

SINGAPORE -- Marina Bay Sands has been given its licence in time to open on Tuesday, Channel News Asia reported.

The casino will open along with retail stores and restaurants in phase one of the planned resort, the report said.

There was some earlier speculation that there could be a delay in issuing the licence, which has been avoided, The Channel News Asia mentioned.
