Lucky 7 Casino & Hotel will close until 4 April

Lucky 7 Casino & Hotel in Smith River, Calif. announced today it will be closing until 4 April.

From the casino's blog:

"After carefully reviewing the ongoing situation with COVID-19 and with the concern for our community, guests and employees, effective immediately, Lucky 7 Casino, Howonquet Restaurant, Club 7 Sports Bar and Tolowa Event Center will be temporarily closed with a planned re-opening at 8am on April 4th. The hotel and fuel mart will remain open at this time, with an additional status review on Monday the 23rd.

We want to thank all our friends and guests during the process of evaluating the ever changing situation and look forward to being able to continue providing services and entertainment to all our valued guests.

All promotions will be placed on temporary hold, including the Spring-into-Summer-Cadillac-Giveaway. All tickets will be secured in place and available on opening.

Our ongoing status will be continue to be posted to this page and our social media channels. For direct messages, we will be available via email to, on Facebook messenger and via answering service at 707-487-7777.

All non-essential staff will be temporarily laid-off and will be able to draw unemployment compensation or use their accrued paid-time-off accounts.
