Lucky 7 Casino & Hotel extends temporary closure date

31 March 2020

Lucky 7 Casino & Hotel in Smith River, Calif. announced today it will extend its temporary closure date past 4 April and will remain closed until further notice.

"Due to the changing nature of the COVID-19 situation, Lucky 7 Casino will be postponing our targeted April 4th re-opening. Additionally, the hotel will be closed as of the 31st. The new opening date for the casino and hotel has yet to be determined and will be updated in the future. At this time, the fuel mart and gas pumps will remain open.

We are very grateful for our guests and staff during this difficult time. Dedicated employees will continue to receive benefit coverage and be paid with their paid-time-off hours. We have no layoffs planned and look forward to welcoming back all our staff when we are able to re-open.

During this ongoing pandemic, we continue to monitor all relevant community health updates. While there are no currently known, positive cases in Del Norte or Curry counties, we are responding to notices from our public officials at the local, state and federal levels. We are grateful for our wonderful community, and encourage our guests and staff to stay safe and adhere to health guidelines.

As we all go through this together, we miss seeing our friends and spending time together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the near future and being of service once again. We thank you for your patience and for all the efforts in this unusual time.
