Las Vegas boasts top music festivals throughout the year12 April 2023(PRESS RELEASE) -- Since Las Vegas is known as the Entertainment Capital of the World, it should come as no surprise that the destination is home to some of the most unique music festival experiences on the planet. Music Festivals in 2023 A longtime local event, the Las Vegas Bluegrass Festival returns to Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre on Saturday, 15 April. Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway headlines, with support from The Kody Norris Show, Tejon Street Corner Thieves, Nu-Blu and more. The free event also promises an artisan market, food trucks and more—and encourages visitors to bring blankets and/or low-back chairs. Celebrating 31 years of bringing soulful music to the local scene, the Las Vegas City of Lights Jazz and R&B Festival returns to Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre from Saturday, 29 April to Sunday, 30 April. This year’s lineup features PJ Morton, Avery Sunshine, Loose Ends ft. Jane Eugene, B.J. the Chicago Kid and more. While the event features a shopping and food village, visitors are encouraged to bring picnic baskets, blankets and/or low-back chairs. Las Vegas is frequently referred to as “The Ninth Island” of Hawaii, so Holo Holo might be right at home in Las Vegas. Being held at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center from Saturday, 6 May to Sunday, 7 May, this festival features Polynesian music. Returning to the venue for a second year, this year’s acts include Kolohe Kai, Collie Buddz, Katchafire, Kapena, Anuhea and more. Lovers & Friends, featuring a lineup of hip-hop, rap, and R&B (with a slight throwback vibe to the 1990s) returns to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds after its inaugural year. Launched in May 2022, the event returns for a second year to the same space on Saturday, 6 May with headliners like Missy Elliott, Nelly, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and more. Debuting at Las Vegas Festival Grounds this year, Sick New World brings together a spectrum of alternative rock, from alt-metal to post-grunge and more. The inaugural event, being held on Saturday, 13 May, features acts such as System of a Down, Korn, Deftones, Incubus, Evanescence and Papa Roach. Now in its 12th year in Las Vegas, the Electric Daisy Carnival returns to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from Friday, 19 May to Sunday, 21 May. First held in the destination in June 2011, the annual event brings together the globe’s top-charting electronic artists. This year’s lineup includes Armin van Buuren, Kaskade, Tiësto, Zedd and more. Billed as a carnival, the festival also features amusement rides and art installations. Throwing it back to the days when rockabilly was all the rage, Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend takes place at The Orleans Hotel and Casino from Thursday, 27 April to Sunday, 30 April. Its lineup includes Dollar Bill, Ruby Ann, AI Lil Fats Jackson, Charlie Hightone, The Bellfuries and more. Launched in 1998, the longtime annual event also features events such as a car display, burlesque production and a retro fashion show. What started with a show at the iconic Double Down Saloon, the Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival has evolved into a multifaceted event. Launched in 1999, the event is now held at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center—with additional club shows held around town. This year’s event, held from Friday, 26 May to Monday, 29 May, features Rancid, Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, The Interrupters, Suicidal Tendencies, The Damned and more. The Big Blues Bender takes place at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino from Thursday, 7 September to Sunday, 10 September. This year’s lineup features Keb’ Mo’, Beth Hart, Jimmie Vaughan, Tab Benoit, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and more. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Life Is Beautiful Music & Art Festival returns to transform multiple blocks of Downtown Las Vegas into an audio/visual spectacle. Spanning pop, rock, rap and electronic musical genres, this year’s lineup features The Killers, Kendrick Lamar, Odesza, Flume, The 1975, Khalid, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and more. Being held Friday, 22 September to Sunday, 24 September, the annual event also promises new murals painted by renown street artists, art installations, performances by Strip productions and more. The iHeartRadio Music Festival brings together the chart-topping artists of both its radio and streaming services to the T-Mobile Arena every September. The festival originated at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in 2011, with the festival’s Daytime Village launching at the then-Las Vegas Village in 2013 (with the most recent event occurring at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds). The festival spans many musical genres—from pop and rock to rap and hip-hop to country and electronic—with past lineups including acts such as Black Eyed Peas, Halsey, Maren Morris, Megan Thee Stallion, Sam Smith and more. Back for another year, the Reggae Rise Up Music Festival returns to the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center from Friday, 6 October to Sunday, 8 October. Past lineups have included acts such as Slightly Stoopid, Stick Figure, Atmosphere and more. After a successful installment in October 2022, the When We Were Young festival returns to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Saturday, 21 October and Sunday, 22 October. The event features emo and pop-punk acts and a throwback vibe, considering most acts were at their peak in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This year’s lineup includes Green Day, Blink-182, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Offspring, Good Charlotte, Thrice, Yellowcard, Sum 41, The Ataris and more. |
