Landry's completes acquisition of Atlantic City casino24 May 2011HOUSTON, Texas -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Tilman J. Fertitta, Owner, Chairman and CEO of Landry's, Inc., parent company of the Golden Nugget Las Vegas and Laughlin, announced today that Fertitta Entertainment completed the acquisition of the Trump Marina Hotel Casino in Atlantic City. "We hope to revitalize the Marina District area with our transformation to the Golden Nugget, much as we have helped rejuvenate downtown Las Vegas with our Golden Nugget concept," said Fertitta. "The Golden Nugget has strong brand recognition, especially in Atlantic City, and we look forward to introducing our world class version of this product to the market." Extensive transformational renovations to the property have already begun to give it a fresh modern look, including improvements to the building facade, the addition of the acclaimed Chart House restaurant, two new temporary bars and lounges with live entertainment, and four totally updated model guest rooms. Soon to come, the high energy Rush Lounge and a unique new After Hours Bar will complement the poker room, race book, keno room, spa and renovated showroom complete with plush, theater style seating. The Red Room will be the newest hot spot in New Jersey and the ultimate place to see and be seen starting Memorial Day weekend. For those who want to enjoy the outdoors, an innovative H2O Pool and Ultra Lounge will offer all season hot tubs and fire pits to deliver an exhilarating experience unlike anything else available in Atlantic City.
