Jewish Group Presents Second Annual Poker Tournament

22 August 2005

LOS ANGELES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles (JBBBSLA), a premier non-profit mentoring agency in Southern California, serving over 1,500 children annually, is bringing all the fun and excitement of America's new favorite game of skill, strategy and luck to Los Angeles with their 2nd Annual Poker Tournament on September 29, 2005 at The Hollywood Park Casino. An ideal opportunity for likeminded peers to network and test their "mettle" when it comes to calling bluffs, this year's event will include dinner and lessons from 5:30pm till 7:00pm, followed by a No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament, where players will have an opportunity to "ante up" and put their "money where their mouth is."

"Over the past 90 years, JBBBSLA's has relied on volunteer mentors to serve the thousands of children that have benefited from our mentoring-based programs, and it is through events like this that we say thank you to existing volunteers and welcome new ones into our organization," said Margy Feldman, JBBBSLA CEO. "Who knows if our guests play their cards right, they may just leave a little richer in both their pocketbook and in spirit."

Participants can "buy in" for $200 with a chance to increase their winnings 25-fold, by winning the first place prize of $5,000. For more information or registration, call Rebecca Rauh at (323) 761-8675 ext. 30.
