Los Angeles card rooms get shut down again

2 July 2020

Los Angeles poker rooms received word from California Governor Gavin Newsom on Wedneday that they must close their doors again, just two weeks after reopening. As a result, Commerce Casino, Bicycle Hotel & Casino, Hollywood Park Casino, Hawaiian Gardens Casino, Hustler Casino were all forced to close. The governor posted on Twitter that COVID-19 is spreading at “an alarming rate” in California, forcing him to close not just card rooms, but also businesses such as dine-in restaurants, movie theaters, wineries, and museums in LA County and 18 other counties. In addition, Parkwest Casino Lotus in Sacramento also shut their doors until further notice.

Parkwest Casino Lotus will be closing today starting at 5PM in response to the Governor's order.
