IP Casino hosts Bill Engvall22 April 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Everyman comic Bill Engvall will bring his popular stand-up comedy routine to IP Casino Resort and Spa’s Studio A on Friday, 10 May. Engvall’s comedic breakthrough came in 1992 when he was awarded Best Male Stand-up at the American Comedy Awards. In 1996, he released his first album, which included the famous bit, “Here’s Your Sign.” The album was certified platinum and held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Comedy Chart for 15 straight weeks. It went on to peak at No. 5 on the Billboard’s Current Country Album Chart. Engvall subsequently released two more albums, “Dorkfish” and “Now That’s Awesome,” which both debuted in the No. 1 spot. Along with the enormously successful “Blue Collar Comedy” series, Engvall has had several solo specials on Comedy Central, including “Aged and Confused.” He starred in the NBC series “The Jeff Foxworthy Show,” where he played Foxworthy’s best friend. Engvall later reunited with the Blue Collar comedians on the CMT special, “Them Idiots Whirled Tour.” He has also been a regular television, game and award show host, and was a contestant on season 17 of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” Showtime is 8 p.m. Doors open one hour prior to the show.
