Hot Summer Fun returns to Resorts Casino AC27 May 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Welcoming the start of the summer season, Resorts Casino Hotel is thrilled to launch its 2016 “Hot Summer Fun” celebration during Memorial Day weekend. To kick off the Hot Summer Fun festivities taking place all season long, Resorts will officially ring in the start of summer as they host the 3rd Annual Memorial Day Beach Ball Drop on Friday, May 27th, where 5,000 beach balls held in nets spanning the length of Resorts Casino Hotel on the Boardwalk will drop promptly at 5 p.m. There will be a DJ spinning all the hits, contests and games on the Boardwalk, strolling entertainers, a Lincoln MKC sweepstakes and plenty more giveaways. The event will include music by tsteel drummers and 95.1 WAYV. Margaritaville, LandShark Bar & Grill and 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar at Resorts Casino Hotel will also be a part of the celebration and 93.3 WMMR, will be in attendance from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. with Pierre Robert, broadcasting live from Margaritaville as well! Following the Beach Ball Drop, Hot Summer Fun activities will continue through Saturday, September 27th. Resorts will host sizzling events, daily promotions and exciting giveaways for guests seeking fun day-time beach activities and night-time casino fun. ENTERTAINMENT Landshark Bar & Grill, the only year-round full-service bar and restaurant on the sand side of the Boardwalk, will be offering nightlife entertainment on Thursday, Friday & Saturday throughout Hot Summer Fun, with a DJ set to spin on the beach from 10:00pm – 2:00am! 5 Cabanas on the beach at Landshark will be available for guests to reserve day and night, and includes bottle service Thursday through Saturday. Landshark was also recently named “Best Beach Bar” by Casino Player Magazine’s Dining & Nightlife awards! And Bar One will feature live entertainment all summer long as well, with Happy Hour seven days a week from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.! Summer Concert Series Resorts is bringing back the popular summer series concerts, with some of the top acts and performers. EVENTS & ACTIVITIES The Jersey Devil Surf Shop, owned by legendary surfer Dean Randazzo, will offer surfing and paddleboard lessons for folks wishing to improve their skills, everyday starting at $70. HOT SUMMER FUN DAILY PROMOTIONS Cash Dash Money Machine Mondays: Every Monday during Hot Summer Fun, beginning at 2 p.m., a name will be called every half hour for a chance to go in the cash machine. Guests will have 15 thrilling seconds to grab as much cash as possible! With the winnings, guests will then have their choice of Slot cash or Match play! $5,000 Slot Tournament Tuesdays: Every Tuesday through August 30 between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., Star Card holders can take part in a cool $5,000 slot tournament. The tournament will take place on the casino floor near Soup Man and the first place prize is $1,000 in cash! Hot Summer Fun Weekly Wednesday T-Shirts!: Every Wednesday through August 30, 2016, from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., Star Card holders will be able to receive a Resorts logo t-shirt with a quote on the back.
Zoom Ball Machine Fridays (Chance to win $100,000): Every Friday beginning June 3, through September 2 from 2 p.m. through 10 p.m., Star Card holders can try their hand on the zoom ball machine. To register, guests can go to the promotions booth where they will receive a Zoom Ball slip to present to the representative at the game. From there, players will press the button on the zoom ball machine to set the ball spinning. There will be a total of six balls in the tube and the goal is to try and get as many Gold Balls in the tube! Four out of 6 wins $100 in Slot Cash, 5 out of 6 wins $1,000 in Slot Cash and 6 of 6 wins $100,000 in CASH!
