Horseshoe Casino expands

HAMMOND, Indiana – As reported by the Northwest Indiana News: "As the city's lakefront casino expands, so must its parking garage -- all the way to the main dock of the Hammond Marina.

"Horseshoe Casino plans to buy the current Hammond Yacht Club building, and the acre of land beneath, from the Port Authority for $2.75 million.

"The developer's agreement between Horseshoe and the city includes purchase of the property as part of the casino's $485 million plan to build a new 350,000-square-foot gambling facility just east of the marina…"
