Geldres named VP of Slot Operations at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa12 May 2023(PRESS RELEASE) -- Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa has named Albert Geldres as its new Vice President, Slot Operations. Geldres got his start in gaming more than 17 years ago, as a P&A analyst at Caesars Entertainment at the Horseshoe Hammond in Indiana. He quickly started working in slots and progressed into leadership roles in Slot Performance and was then promoted to Director of Slot Operations at the property where he helped lead the expansion of the casino floor as part of a $485M expansion in 2008. From there he joined Rush Street Gaming in the role of Vice President of Slots as part of the opening team for Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, IL. During his tenure there, he expanded his operational leadership experience to include Slots, Player’s Club, Valet, and Guest Service. Following seven years at the Des Plaines property and then a year as the Corporate VP of Gaming with Rush Street, Geldres returned to a property leadership role in Slots and built his knowledge of Tribal Gaming at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, Minnesota. He helped lead the property through a reopening, oversaw the day-to-day operations, and drove initiatives focused on new technology and gaming enhancements for one of the largest casino floors in the Midwest. Outside the gaming industry, he actively volunteered with and supports medical charities in Peru where his family is from. He has also served on the Board of Directors at Horizons For Youth, a non-profit in Chicago that supports students in underserved communities with one-on-one mentoring to help them achieve their goals. Geldres was raised in the Metro Detroit area and received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and his Master’s in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He currently lives in Lakeville, MN with his wife, Gina, and two young daughters, Bree and Alexandra. The family is in the process of relocating to Tampa and looks forward to exploring all that the area has to offer. |
