Harrah's Cherokee introduces iDROPe table games

22 January 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort, located in the beautiful Smokey Mountains of Western North Carolina, has expanded their iDROPe from APEX to over 100 table games. This technology allows cash and ticket handling at the majority of their tables, increasing player's hands per hour. Players will have the flexibility of playing both slots and table games with TITO tickets; dealers can accept tickets and bills directly at the gaming tables and insert them into the iDROPe. Players with large buy-ins can be serviced at the table or the cage within seconds.

The iDROPe from APEX Gaming is a revolutionary cash handling solution for live tables. Ron Hager, Director of Table Games at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort, said, "Our guests have the flexibility they deserve with iDROPe. We can accept promotional and slot tickets at the tables, and payout guests with slot tickets directly from the table. Our count room is more efficient with stackable cash boxes also iDROPe eliminates dealer errors and every transaction is recorded, eliminating variances at the tables."

Brent Younce, Regional Games Performance Manager at Harrah's Cherokee, added, "The iDROPe device provides greater flexibility for our players. The iDROPe design has a lot of technology within a small footprint and the reliability of the bill acceptor is outstanding."

Jean-Louis "JL" Drapeau, GM Apogee Gaming (APEX North America partner), is very proud of having gained such a prestigious casino, and is responding to numerous other progressive casinos looking to expand the player experience, gain operational efficiencies, and improve overall security.
