Hard Rock Casino in Lake Tahoe's May promotions30 April 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- “The Best of…” Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Lake Tahoe is coming to customers this May and for the summer. The South Lake Tahoe resort was awarded top honors in 12 categories in the “Best of Dining and Nightlife” April issue of Casino Player Magazine, America’s most popular gaming publication with a monthly readership of more than 600,000. “Best of” categories were designated for seafood at the Oyster Bar, sports bar at William Hill, pool bar, variety of restaurants, coffee shop (Fuel), place to celebrate: Park Prime Steakhouse, late-night dining: William Hill Sports Bar), outdoor dining: Alpine Union Bar & Kitchen), overall entertainment, happy hour, and place for cocktails at Center Bar. Guests and visitors to the Hard Rock Hotel will be able to sample all the “Bests” firsthand this Spring, along with a variety of other special offers: Cinco de Mayo Visitors can dance the night away to live music and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Eross, a Latin quartet from Reno, Nev., 4 May inside Vinyl. Tickets are $10, doors open at 8:30, show begins at 9 p.m. Hard Rock is expanding the holiday to a three-day celebration, 3-5 May, daily from 11:30 a.m. until gone. The Cinco de Mayo Specials at Alpine Union include three tacos of your choice: adobo chicken, beef barbacoa or rice and beans; a Rockin’ Burrito with choice of meat and served with rice and beans for $12.99; or the carne asada plate at $15.99, with churros and vanilla ice cream for $5. Park Prime’s Cinco de Mayo $60 dinner menu includes three courses celebrating the heritage of Mexico. Entrées feature jalapeno lime filet, or red snapper Veracruz; a first course of Peruvian ceviche; with flan for dessert. Kentucky Derby Don your Kentucky Derby hat and get in the mood with $5 mint juleps at the Center and Sports bars, Saturday, 4 May. Saddle up to either bar to watch the race on big screen televisions. Take your chances and place a bet at the William Hill Sports Book and receive $5 Free Play. Mother's Day Moms can jam out with R&B, soul and mototown group based out of Reno, Nev., Musicole on 11 May inside Vinyl. Mothers receive complimentary bottomless champagne with $15 ticket purchase. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the show at 8 p.m. Hard Rock offers several ways to celebrate Mom and to say thanks. The Mother’s Day Gift Giveaway gives mom a chance to relax throughout the year with a shiatsu neck massager. Dining options on Mother’s Day include Alpine Union Restaurant where entrée choices include a choice of chicken cordon bleu, prime rib or shrimp scampi; soup or salad starter, and strawberry shortcake dessert for just $35 per person. Park Prime’s elegant Mother’s Day menu includes an entrée choice of half rack of lamb, duck confit or a petit duo of filet and lobster with side; first course of soup or the Motherload Salad with mint and champagne balsamic vinaigrette, and bananas foster or cherries jubilee dessert for $80 per person. Comedy at Vinyl Comedian, actor, writer and musician based in West Hollywood, Maija DiGiorgio will take the stage in Vinyl, 24-25 May. DiGiorgio has performed opened for numerous industry standouts including Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Wanda Sykes and Tracy Morgan. Comedian and producer of the Maija radio show, Jeff Husbands will open. Tickets are available for $20 or $10 with a Backstage Pass.
