Hard Rock Casino in Lake Tahoe holds March promotions

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Things are spring loaded at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Lake Tahoe for March with chances for guests to try their luck, experience onsite dining and celebrate the change of season.

Earth Hour commences on 30 March, 8:30 – 9:30 p.m., with the Hard Rock going dark in the lobby, marquee, and guitar plaza. The property will be illuminated by glow sticks, with attendees of the Smoke & Mirrors Cabaret show receiving glow sticks for a dark segment and grand finale of that night’s performance. Guests are encouraged to participate in Earth Hour by conserving energy and turning off room lights to take full advantage of Hard Rock’s Go Green incentives, which also include options to reduce laundering while on-property and recycled material such as napkins and straws.

Entertainment and Events

Hard Rock is the place to cheer on favorite teams during March Madness with free game viewings at all bars on property from March 19 – April 8. Hoop Madness Specials include $3 specialty shots and domestic drafts, $6 – 7 beers in a bucket, a $5 128-ounce beer tower, and $16.99 Burgers and Domestic Brews at Alpine Union during games. The madness continues with the Hoops Madness Kiosk Game and a chance to win $500 instantly, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays in March. Take a chance at becoming a millionaire when the William Hill Sports Book hosts a $1,000,000 March Mania Parlay Card on 21 March and 22 March.

Smoke & Mirrors Cabaret continues its run through 30 March with shows every Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Reflecting the vibe and culture of rock and roll, Smoke & Mirrors takes guests on a journey through the ages with stops at the eras of Motown and disco among others. Visually intriguing surprises create a tantalizing performance from a cast that exudes sensuality beyond the smoke and sparklers seen on stage. Tickets are $20 per person and Backstage Pass holders receive $5 off. Tickets are available for purchase at the Rock Shop or online.

Unwind and jam out after a day of riding at nearby Heavenly Mountain Resort with Après Ski Live Music at Alpine Union every Sunday from 3 – 6 p.m. Continue rocking’ with Opening Acts Fridays and Saturdays, 3 – 6 p.m. featuring live music in the hotel lobby.

Dining Specials

Mardi Gras comes to Lake Tahoe with specials at on-site restaurants. Park Prime will bring Cajun flavors to the table with a three-course menu for $60 per person: a select appetizer, a choice of entrée including blackened halibut, grilled quail, or Cajun shrimp, with a select dessert. Celebrate at Alpine Union, 1-5 March with a three-course menu for $35: a select appetizer, a choice of entrée including soft shell crab po’boy, Cajun seafood pasta, or southern fried pork chops, with a select dessert.

The luck of the Irish will be strong at Hard Rock for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. The green beer will be flowing from 15-17 March at all Hard Rock bars with $5 domestic or Guinness brews, $5 shots of Jameson, Tullamore Dew and Jager, as well as $15 Hard Rock blinky cups with green beer.

Festivities continue at Park Prime and Alpine Union with dining specials celebrating the culture and heritage of Ireland. At Park Prime, a three-course prix fixe with choice of asparagus potato soup with leeks or Irish pub salad, duck a L’Orange or mint crusted lamb chop, and a dessert choice of Guinness Jameson tiramisu or vanilla bourbon bread pudding. This special is only available March 15-17, $60 per person. Alpine Union will also feature a three-course prix fixe menu that includes baked potato and asparagus soup or house salad, choice of beer braised bratwurst, corned beef cabbage stew or sausage platter, and a choice of shamrock cannolis or rainbow macaroons.

The Park Prime Prix Fixe includes three courses for $60 per person and wine pairings for each course for just $20. Available 5 – 6 p.m., Sunday – Thursday in March.

Après Ski Features include a choice of Alpine Daly – Union Tai or Killebrew Press for $5 and $8 select shot and draft specials at Alpine Union, as well as $5 select ski shot features at Center Bar, Monday – Friday from 4 – 6 p.m.

Alpine Union Breakfast offers a choice of short stack or eggs with bacon, hash browns and toast for $6.99, 7 – 11 a.m., Monday – Friday. The Choice Prime Rib Special includes $19.99 prime rib with potatoes or vegetables daily at 1 p.m., but hurry, as limited servings of the popular meal are in high demand.

Perk up with the Latte Happy House for 50 percent off all lattes at Fuel, the on-site coffee shop, 2 – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Gaming Promotions

The possibility to win $200,000 in cash is within players’ reach and ability to recognize famous songs, 2 March to 27 April. It’s My Jam! Musical Game includes drawings every Tuesday and Saturday, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. with five winners chosen at each drawing. A grand finale drawing will be held 27 April at 5 p.m., during which all prizes double for a chance to win $400,000.

The Backstage Pass Rewards Club rewards guests when they shop, play, dine and entertain at Hard Rock. Members earn benefits and perks with each purchase, including room discounts and priority service. Membership is free.

StarBar play station brings popular traditional tables games to bar tops for the first time and will be available on the casino floor of Hard Rock. The StarBar allows players to interact with multiple games simultaneously on one station without having to cash out or change machines. Gamblers can partake in four different games at once, including blackjack, roulette, craps, keno, poker and more.

Many of Hard Rock’s casino games were nominated for the first annual Eilers & Krejcik Gaming Slot Awards recognizing excellence in slot machine game development within the casino gaming industry. Of the nominated games, 29 are currently available on the Hard Rock casino floor. Among those nominated are Buffalo Gold, Blazing 7’s, Lightning Zap and others. Try these as well as new slots added weekly to the casino floor, including Harvey Davidson, Dancing Drums, Johnny Cash, World of Wonka, and The Goonies.

Classic rock is timeless and so are 50+ Classic Rockers. All Backstage pass members 50 years of age and older earn $5 free slot play and $10 match play for each 200 points earned, Mondays, 7 – 11 a.m.

Tahoe will be feeling a bit country with the introduction of Blake Shelton Video Slots, a 40 pay-line game that offers a chance to win a guitar autographed by Blake Shelton. Players can compete with bonus offers to win a jackpot amount in addition to the signed guitar. This will be available for a limited time on the casino floor and will be the only casino in the Lake Tahoe Basin with such a game.
