Foxwoods Resort Casino reports September slot revenue15 October 2020(PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino is reporting slot revenue of $27.6 million for the month of September 2020. This results in a $6.9 million direct payment to the State of Connecticut in accordance with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s long-standing slot revenue contribution agreement. Since 1993, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has deposited over $4 billion of Foxwoods’ slot revenue directly into the state’s budget fund. The resort continues to see positive feedback and adherence from guests and team members on its extensive safety measures, including temperature checks, mandatory face masks, plexiglass installations and 24/7 sanitizing of the property. Foxwoods has also maintained limiting the number of guests to 25% of the resort’s total capacity in order to allow for proper social distancing while on property. “COVID-19 is not going away anytime soon, so we will continue to work with our Chief Medical Officer and other local health officials to ensure we’re doing everything we can to keep our guests and team members safe,” said Jason Guyot, Interim CEO and SVP of Resort Operations. “We have been doubling down on safety since we first reopened on 1 June, and that will remain our number one priority as we look to the next phase of our reopening process.” Foxwoods has plenty of fun and safe seasonal activities to offer guests this fall, starting with Halloweekend at the Drive-In 30 and 31 October. Bring the kids for the early showing at 6:00pm, which will kick off with a socially-distanced costume and candy parade, then come back for the horror movie at 10:00pm for a late night fright.
