Extreme Racing for Charity returns to Remington Park25 March 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- Remington Park Racetrack Casino will host the return of Extreme Racing for Charity on Sunday, 12 April, bringing together live horse racing, exotic animal competitions and charitable giving in one of Oklahoma’s most anticipated spring events. Held during Remington Park’s American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season, Extreme Racing enables guests to experience both traditional racing and specialty exhibition races featuring camels, ostriches, zebras and Clydesdales in a single evening. The exotic animal races are scheduled between regular Quarter Horse races, with the first race beginning at 4 p.m. The event is open to the public, free to attend and designed to provide entertainment for all ages while raising awareness and support for nonprofit organizations designated as Remington Cares Charities. While in attendance, guests can meet the animals up close and take pictures as well as visit the various charitable booths to learn more about their missions. “Extreme Racing for Charity is a special day that brings people together from across the community,” said TJ Steverson, senior marketing manager at Remington Park. “Fans of all ages come out to enjoy the excitement and fun of watching these unique races, while also knowing their participation helps support organizations doing meaningful work throughout Oklahoma. It’s one of our favorite ways to give back.” Nonprofit organizations supported through Remington Care Charities include the American Lung Association, Autism Oklahoma, Breast Cancer Survivors of Oklahoma, The CARE Center, Citizens Caring for Children, City Care, Honoring America’s Warriors, the Oklahoma City Police Department’s Family Awareness and Community Team (FACT) Unit, Nexus Animals, Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation, Pivot and the Oklahoma Thoroughbred Retirement Program. Remington Park’s charitable initiatives generated over $93,000 in funding in 2025, underscoring the organization’s ongoing efforts in supporting local nonprofits and improving quality of life for Oklahoma residents. Funds raised help participating organizations sustain programs, expand services, and reach individuals and families in need. |
