Empire City Casino promotes Bill Regan to Executive Director of Marketing1 November 2024(PRESS RELEASE) -- Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts announced the promotion of William (Bill) Regan as Empire City’s Executive Director of Marketing. In this new role, Regan is responsible for all marketing efforts, focusing on player development, special events and brand marketing for Empire City’s more than nine million annual visitors. Empire City boasts the largest gaming floor in the MGM Resorts portfolio and is one of the largest gaming floors in the country. “We are thrilled to promote Bill to this leadership role where his dedication and commitment to delivering a top tier casino experience will drive Empire City’s marketing efforts,” said Ed Domingo, president and COO of Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts. “Bill’s creative strategic approach and his leadership skills will be invaluable as we continue to grow our footprint here in New York and around the region.” Regan began his career at Empire City in 2013 as a Casino Host where he served as a concierge to players. He worked his way up within the marketing department to become Manager of Special Events and Promotions where he was responsible for player development events including player special events, prize drawings, slot tournaments, celebrity meet and greets, player gift events, and a variety of trips for casino guests. In 2020, Regan was critical to MGM Springfield, located in Western Massachusetts, by supporting the casino’s marketing efforts, while still maintaining his responsibilities at Empire City. In December 2021, Regan was promoted and announced as Empire City’s Director of Casino Marketing. Today, in his newly elevated position of Executive Director of Marketing, Regan’s responsibilities have expanded to oversee the marketing team and is prepared to take Empire City to the next level. “Over the last 11 years, Empire City and MGM Resorts have laid the foundation for my career, creating a pathway to leadership and success,” said Bill Regan, executive director of marketing at Empire City. “I am sincerely grateful to Empire City’s leadership, including our President, Ed Domingo, for this incredible opportunity to continue the growth of our team and our brand, providing amazing experiences for our guests.” Regan’s appointment comes at a critical time for Empire City that will compete for one of three commercial casino licenses currently available in New York, which are expected to be awarded by the end of 2025. A commercial casino license will allow Empire City to transition from a limited lottery facility offering video lottery terminals and electronic table games, to offering live-dealer table games, retail sports betting, Vegas-style slots, new and elevated amenities and world-class entertainment options for the tri-state area and beyond, further enhancing Empire City’s ability to attract new visitors to the casino and the region. |
