EGC, MGM Grand Detroit Sign Deal

NEW YORK –- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Electronic Game Card, Inc. (OTCBB: EGMI), the creator of the Electronic GameCard, today confirms that MGM Grand Detroit - a subsidiary of MGM MIRAGE (NYSE: MGM), one of the world's leading and most respected hotel and gaming companies - has signed an agreement to use Electronic GameCards in a promotion for its 75,000 square-foot gaming property in Detroit. It is the first time any US casino has purchased Electronic GameCards to run a commercial promotion based on the Company's products.

A spokesperson for Electronic Game Card, Inc. said:

"We are delighted that MGM Grand Detroit has become the first US casino to use our Electronic GameCards in a commercial promotion. The casino promotion market represents a significant opportunity for the Company."

The MGM Grand Detroit Casino is a 75,000-square-foot gaming facility with more than 2,700 slot machines (1 cent - $100), 80 gaming tables and a range of dining facilities. The Electronic GameCard-based promotion is set to take place in Q3 '06.
