Dover Downs poker room to hold football promos12 September 2013DOVER, Del. -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino is carrying the full NFL Sunday Ticket in the Crown Royal Poker Room highlighted with high hand and splash pot promotions for an action-packed 2013 season. NFL Sunday Ticket broadcasts up to eight live games on a single channel in HD, complete with live scores and game clock, including every minute of every out-of-market game every Sunday. The poker room features 12 TVs and 18 tables for a full afternoon/evening of sports and gaming action. "With the NFL Sunday Ticket, our poker players may enjoy a full afternoon of relaxation and enjoyment not only playing their favorite game, but also catching all the highlights of their favorite football teams," said Pete Bradley, VP of casino operations for Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. "Our servers are ready to accommodate players with complete beverage service and also menu service from various food outlets on the property. It's a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon." During the NFL season, the poker room is offering Texas Hold'em high-hand and splash pot promotions on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays when NFL games are being played. A poker supervisor will track the high hand (flush, minimum) for each quarter of the game, and the player with the highest hand for each quarter will be awarded $50 in chips. The table on which the player is seated will receive a $50 splash pot for the next hand dealt. On Sundays, one game will be selected for each of the three starting times at 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Poker table-side food service is available from every restaurant on property so fans may feast on pizza or chicken parmesan from Frankie's, Angus burgers or cheesesteaks from Race & Sports Book, salads and sandwiches from the Garden Café, and much more. |
