DJ Victor Calderone heading to Atlantic City

4 August 2010

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- From Sinatra and Rickles to Snoop Dogg and Seinfeld, the biggest names from a variety of entertainment have performed to sold-out crowds in Resorts' Superstar Theater. But on Saturday, September 4, a new era in entertainment begins! Art of Electronica [AOE] presents world-renowned DJ Victor Calderone on stage as Resorts transforms the Superstar Theater into multi-level nightlife experience.

Tickets to "AOE Presents: Victor Calderone" in Resorts Superstar Theater start at $40, and can be purchased at or by calling 1.800.745.3000. VIP and table reservations can be made by calling 484.278.1055 or via email at . Doors open at 10 p.m. Must be at least 21 years of age to attend.

World-renowned DJ Victor Calderone was praised by Club World magazine's "Best Resident DJ" for his residency at New York's Pacha. Calderone's stellar performances and accomplishments throughout the past 20 years have him at the pinnacle among deejays as a sonic innovator in house, techno and tribal music. His sets draw thousands of people. His mixes are listened to all over the world. For Calderone, it boils down to one word that acts as both his brand, mantra and raison d'etre: EVOLVE.

After a long string of successful albums and singles, Calderone established his EVOLVE brand in 2005 as a way to coalesce his numerous residencies around the world, including Montreal, Tel Aviv, Bulgaria, and the monthly residency at New York's Pacha. With the EVOLVE brand now taking off globally, clubgoers have quickly begun to equate the word with joy-inducing, risk-taking sets that shatter musical boundaries and the conventions of what a DJ set "should" be.

"I feel like I've been through a few reincarnations," said Calderone. "Some people only know me for my past work with pop artists or productions I did years ago. I'm still proud of that, but I've always tried, both in the studio and deejaying live, to keep moving forward. I've had a lot of people come up to me after they hear me spin now and go, 'Wow. I did not expect that.'"

Victor's work has been praised by numerous celebrities. In fact, Madonna bestowed upon him the ultimate compliment – the opportunity to remix, "Frozen," the lead single from her acclaimed "Ray of Light" album. Victor has since remixed nine other records for Madonna. Another one of the many highlights of his extraordinary career is Victor's experience working with Sting. Victor's remix of "Desert Rose," the second single from his 1999 "Brand New Day" album, spent an impressive 80 weeks on the Billboard dance charts including nine consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart.
