Detroit Casinos Reports Mixed Results

DETROIT, Michigan – As reported by the Crain's Detroit Business: "MGM Grand Detroit Casino L.L.C. and Greektown Casino L.L.C. reported revenue increases for July over the same month last year and for the year to date, while MotorCity Casino L.L.C. revenue was 4 percent behind 2004 for July and nearly 1 percent off the year to date.

"MGM's July revenue was nearly $38.6 million, up 4 percent from last year, bringing its total for the first seven months to $269.4 million.

"Greektown reported $31.3 million, a 14 percent increase over last year, putting its total at $195.5 million this year.

"MotorCity, with $37.3 million for July, was down 4 percent for the month and, at $256.9 million, was 0.9 percent behind 2004 for the year to date…"
