Detroit casinos report $112.5 million in July 2026 revenue16 August 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- Detroit’s three commercial casinos reported $112.57 million in aggregate revenue for July 2026. Table games and slots generated $111.64 million, while retail sports betting produced $929,704 in qualified adjusted gross receipts. Market shares (July 2026) were: - MGM Grand Detroit Casino, 47% - MotorCity Casino, 31% - Hollywood Casino at Greektown, 22% Table Games and Slot Revenue July 2026 table games and slot revenue increased 5.3% compared with July 2025 and 9.6% from June 2026. For the period 1 January 1 through 31 July, revenue was up by 1.9% year-over-year. Casino-level results compared with July 2025 were: - MGM: up 3.3% to $52.5 million - MotorCity: up 8.7% to $34.32 million - Hollywood Casino at Greektown: up 5.2% to $24.82 million The casinos paid $9.0 million in state gaming taxes in July, compared with $8.6 million in July 2025. They also reported submitting $13.3 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the City of Detroit. Retail Sports Betting Revenue Detroit casinos reported $5.88 million in total retail sports betting handle for July. Total gross receipts were $939,620. QAGR decreased 9.9% from July 2025 but increased 11.2% from June 2026. July QAGR by casino: - MGM: $360,265 - MotorCity: $461,165 - Hollywood Casino at Greektown: $108,274 The casinos paid $35,143 in state taxes and submitted $42,952 in wagering taxes to the City of Detroit based on July retail sports betting activity. Fantasy Contests For June 2026, fantasy contest operators reported $494,799 in adjusted revenues and paid $41,563 in taxes. |
