Dejope Gaming reopens on New Year's Eve4 December 2006MADISON, Wisconsin – (PRESS RELEASE) -- For the last two months, there have been construction crews working day in and day out at Dejope Bingo and Entertainment out on Evan Acres Road. Thanks to their hard work, Madison will soon be the home of a new and improved gaming facility. Dejope Bingo and Entertainment will be having a Grand Re-Opening for Dejope Gaming on New Year's Eve. This facility is the latest endeavor for the Ho-Chunk Nation. Dejope said goodbye to paper bingo on June 30 and is saying hello to an all electronic bingo facility. By switching to bingo game machines, players will now have greater flexibility with their play time and experience a new, relaxed atmosphere. HSR Associates out of La Crosse and Kraemer Brothers out of Plain, Wisconsin have worked with the Ho-Chunk Nation to create a facility that brings our players into a "casino style" setting yet still offers the beloved game of Bingo. The architecture and interior design of Dejope Gaming is a reflection of the beauty of Madison's lakes and isthmus, using the styling of Frank Lloyd Wright. Dejope Gaming will continue to be the only Class II gaming facility owned and operated by the Ho-Chunk Nation. The Nation owns Class III casinos in Baraboo, Nekoosa, and Black River Falls, with an ancillary site in Tomah. |
