Coquitlam Casino Revenue Dips

COQUITLAM, British Columbia – As reported by the Tri-City News: "Coquitlam's latest windfall from the Great Canadian Casino - almost $1.5 million - is the lowest it has been in two years

"But a company official vows the city jackpots will rise when the local gaming centre completes its expansion next month

"Monday, the municipality, which receives a 10% cut of net profits as 'host' city, received $1,459,847 for July 1 to Sept. 30, the smallest amount since the period of April 1 to June 30, 2003

"Proceeds from the 450-slot machine venue have been steadily on the decline since last year, when the city collected $2 million in the first quarter of 2004.."
