Great Canadian Entertainment unveils Great Canadian Casino Vancouver

12 December 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Great Canadian Entertainment, the Canadian leader in gaming and hospitality, officially introduced the newly re-named Great Canadian Casino Vancouver and the highly anticipated Gordon Ramsay Burger, the first of popular multiple-Michelin starred Chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants in Canada at a ribbon cutting ceremony earlier today.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was led by Great Canadian Entertainment CEO Matthew Anfinson, and accompanied by Coquitlam Mayor Richard Stewart, dignitaries from Coquitlam City Council, BCLC and Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, and featured a special video message from Chef Gordon Ramsay, indicating his excitement about his first location in BC and his desire to visit Vancouver soon.

“I’d like to take this moment to say a very big, special ‘thank you’ to the whole team at Great Canadian Casino Vancouver,” said Chef Ramsay in a video message at the ribbon cutting ceremony. “The training’s gone well, the place looks beautiful, and more importantly, the standards are so high. I’m so excited to get back to Vancouver, and I can’t wait to see you all soon.”

Anfinson remarked, “Our partnership with Gordon Ramsay is a game changer for the entertainment and hospitality landscape in our markets. Great Canadian Entertainment is not just about gaming; we are setting new standards in live entertainment and culinary experiences. The arrival of Gordon Ramsay Burger is a testament to our commitment to offering unparalleled entertainment and one-of-a-kind experiences.”

The event also unveiled a newly installed visual exhibition of archival photography throughout the property that pays homage to the rich history of the Fraser Valley, capturing its evolution over the years, and featured the presentation of a $25,000 donation to SHARE Family and Community Services. SHARE is a non-profit, independent, community-based organization providing leadership and programs in response to the social needs of the residents of the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra), New Westminster and adjacent communities.

Following the ribbon cutting, guests were treated to a taste of Gordon Ramsay Burger, who marvelled at its sleek, modern design and impressive menu. Featuring an immersive gaming experience, diverse dining choices, and now, the popular Gordon Ramsay Burger, Great Canadian Casino Vancouver’s 80,000 square feet is the largest gaming floor among Metro Vancouver casinos, featuring slot machines, classic table games, new Privé slot room and new Privé table games room.
