Coeur d'Alene Resort receives 'Best Incentive Hotel' award

6 July 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel earned “Best Incentive Hotel” honors as part of the 2023 Smart Stars Awards presented by Smart Meetings magazine, which highlighted the resort’s exceptional amenities and guest experiences, particularly incentive travel.

In its 11th year, Smart Star Awards recognize meeting planners’ preferences for hotels, resorts, properties, cruise lines, and conference and convention centers worldwide. Meeting professionals hand-selected the winning properties and destinations in 31 categories, all critical to the success of their meetings and events.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel is a tribally owned property that is a 50-minute drive from Spokane International Airport. It offers more than 40,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, wedding venues, a newly remodeled event center, and the striking Stensgar Pavilion, a stand-alone 5,800-square-foot structure featuring both indoor and outdoor spaces and a “living roof” full of natural Palouse grasses and wildflowers.

At the meeting's end, there are plenty of other amenities to take advantage of at the resort. In addition to casino gaming, 300 guest rooms and 14 suites, Circling Raven, perennially ranked the No. 1 public courses in Idaho, is steps away from the main resort, while the tranquil Spa Ssakwa’q’n, one of the largest in the Inland Northwest at 15,000 square feet, allows ample space for guests to spread out and unwind in idyllic settings. There is also a wide variety of casual and fine dining experiences, highlighted by the resort's signature restaurant, Chinook Steak, Seafood & Pasta, renowned for its woodfire grill, eclectic menu and locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and main dishes.

Those are some of the reasons people visit Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel. Exceptional customer service is another.

“I recently had the extreme pleasure of bringing a group to this amazing property – from the very first second our group arrived, we were treated like royalty,” said Jennifer Eise, Star Destinations, Business Development Manager. “The property has an expectational staff.”

Evidence that Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel excels in this business niche can be found in the number and quality groups that repeat business year over year, some for as many as 20 years running.

They include Star Destinations, Making Memories Tours, New England Coach Tours, Sports Leisure Vacations, Big Sky Bus, Big B’s Bus Tours, Sun Fun Tours, and Glacier Travel, to name a few.

“Earning this wonderful endorsement from meeting and tour planners reaffirms providing first-class service and amenities for our guests, groups, and events,” said Laura Penney, CEO, Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel.
