Churchill Downs track reopens

LOUISIANA – As reported by Business First: "Churchill Downs Inc.'s Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans has begun its first live race meet since Hurricane Katrina damaged the facility in August 2005.

"Fair Grounds relocated its 2005-06 meet to Harrah's Louisiana Downs in Bossier City, La. Now, $16 million in repairs and improvements later, the track is holding a full, 81-day meet. It began Thursday, Nov. 23…"
